Zoe Kravitz has opened up about her feelings about having a baby with fiancé Channing Tatum

In an interview with Esquire, Zoë Kravitz discussed her new movie, marriage, and kids. The 35-year-old High Fidelity actress specifically talked about her views about having children with her 44-year-old fiancé Channing Tatum, acknowledging that she’s not sure if she wants a child of her own.

She told the source, “There’s a lot of pressure on women to have children, and there’s a feeling that if you don’t have a purpose here.”The Little Big Lies actress came to the realization that she had no intention of having children during her first marriage to actor Karl Glusman in 2019. Zoe, who had previously spoken about her “hurtful” breakup with her mother Lisa Bonet, desired to be surrounded by friends who shared her sentiments.

“I do think there is a certain amount of focus and respect that they should get from their community,” she said, adding that she wished the major events in her life were celebrated with the same fervor as having a child. “For a lot of people, having children is this giant, life-changing event,” she said.

“This film, Blink Twice, feels like a child of mine,” Kravitz remarked of her first feature film. The Magic Mike actor and his ex-wife Jenna Dewan have an 11-year-old daughter named Everly. “I felt like there was something wrong with me for a long time,” Kravitz said to the site.

I kept waiting for this mental light to go out, but it never did. You think to yourself when you’re younger, “Well, I can’t have kids. I am too young! It would be absurd,” she went on. I really had to ask myself, “What do I want?”

Speaking about collaborating on Blink Twice with Kravitz with People during the film’s red carpet premiere last week, Channing seems to be in agreement as well.

When asked what the “greatest part” of filming a movie with his girlfriend was, Tatum told the source, “I think getting to create something with someone you love is probably one of the most satisfying things other than having a kid with somebody.”

This is one of those situations when you really are building something from nothing, much like when you build a marriage or any relationship, and you want to do it with the people you love,” he continued. The pair got together after Zoë, 35, cast Channing in her first-ever feature film as director and co-writer.

‘She brought me a script, and it was definitely something no one has ever considered me for,’ Tatum said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon one month ago. And I was genuinely thinking, “Wow. “Why are you asking me to do this?” “She went away for about a year and a half to work on the thing after we had one meeting,” he added. ”

Afterwards, my producer approached me and said, “You know, this is starting to get really good.” We could really succeed in this. When I finally read it, it was. It was excellent beyond belief.

During the late-night program, he made an attempt to break down the movie’s storyline by stating, “Look, Naomi Ackie plays Frida, who is the main character.” She’s such a beast of an actress, Lord. She works as a cocktail server and receives an invitation to my character Slater King’s island.

And she said, “I don’t even know what day it is exactly,” he continued. “I don’t know if you’ve ever had a long weekend before.” Is Sunday approaching? Is Saturday approaching? Then, as you go through this exhilarating, somewhat drug-induced experience, you begin to suspect that perhaps something isn’t quite right.

“You really have to make that instant decision about who you are.” And Frida embarks on a true adventure. And that girl becomes her,” he said.
