When Nicole Scherzinger signs autographs for fans on opening night of her Broadway debut of Sunset Boulevard, she is covered in fake blood
Covered in fake blood, Nicole Scherzinger signed autographs following her Sunday Broadway premiere in the eagerly awaited revival of Sunset Boulevard.
The 46-year-old former Pussycat Doll singer, still decked out as Norma Desmond, welcomed fans outside St. James Theatre with a smile on her face.

As supporters waited outside the stage door, Nicole, still dripping with fake blood and dressed in her long black dress, signed fan programs. She played the title role of faded actress Norma Desmond on London’s West End before taking the stage in the iconic Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in New York City.
The Masked Singer judge was beaming in a different photo as she raised a glass of champagne to mark her debut.
The actress was showered with praise for her outstanding performance on the first night of Sunset Blvd., receiving five standing ovations.
Nicole posted a picture of herself with Jamie Lloyd and Andrew Lloyd Webber on Instagram before the performance, showing off their rehearsals before opening night.

“Tonight is my Broadway debut,” she wrote. It’s almost unbelievable. All her life, little Nicole has been waiting for today. And I get to do it alongside my two heroes, @andrewlloydwebber and @jamielloyd, as well as this lovely cast from @sunsetblvdmusical.
When it debuted in London last year, Nicole took on the part of Norma originally, with West End luminary Rachel Tucker filling in for her.
Both she and her co-star Tom Francis were awarded an Olivier for their work, and Tom has since joined the Broadway singer of Don’t Cha.
David Thaxton and Grace Hodgett-Young, two more London co-stars who made their Broadway debuts, also appear with Nicole and Tom in the production.
Nicole also said that, even though she was successful in theater, she had first felt that the pop world had “discarded” her after her pop career.
‘I’m [46] years old,’ she revealed to People. I’ve never been stronger emotionally, intellectually, or physically. I am at my best. There has never been a better moment for me to produce art that has significance in our planet.

“The unfortunate thing is that you’re at your happiest place in life right now.” You have so much to offer and are so full, but people have rejected and thrown you aside, telling you that your time is over.
Following her pop heyday, Nicole stated that reaching The Great White Way had been her “lifelong dream,” citing appearances in productions such as Cats and Rent. Nicole stumbled as she made her way to the platform during the awards ceremony, which put a dampener on her success in the London run of Sunset Boulevard.
Nicole cautiously made her way to the Royal Albert Hall stage in her bold gown after sharing a kiss with her fiancé Thom Evans.

The actress was assisted by host Hannah Waddingham as she up the stairs, but she slipped and actor David Oyelowo had to assist her.
“First of all, I would like to thank god for saving me from that trip right there,” she remarked in her award speech. But in all honesty, I am nothing without him.
Nicole celebrated her leading role at a cocktail party in New York on Friday, putting on a leggy show in a short white dress ahead of the Broadway production’s opening night.
Nicole looked amazing in the simple dress that flaunted her toned legs and had puffed sleeves. She tied her dark hair back into a ponytail, applied a strong coat of red lipstick, and applied a lot of eyeshadow.
