Team USA rugby player Nicole Heavirland engages in arm wrestling with Jason Kelce, and his wife Kylie calls him out for cheating
“I tried to warn you!” Kylie Kelce made light of Heavirland when her husband prevailed in the arm wrestling competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Jason Kelce is starting to compete at the Olympics in Paris in 2024!
After the team’s victory over Brazil on July 28, the 36-year-old center from the Philadelphia Eagles defeated Nicole Heavirland of Team USA in an arm wrestling match that took place in the team’s locker room.
Nevertheless, the 29-year-old Olympian and Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, implied that he broke the rules despite his victory.
Heavirland posted a video to Instagram with the caption, “Challenged Jason Kelce to an arm wrestle.”
“Are we prepared? 3,2,1…” someone said from behind the camera as the group of people applauded the couple.
Jason went first, placing his arm down on the table, raised his hands in victory, and gave Heavirland a hug.
With a playful message that hinted at the win’s legitimacy, Heavirland joked, “@jason.kelce holding on to that table a little bit? 🤣”
“I tried to warn you!” As Jason protested, Kylie remarked, “Holding onto something with your off hand is completely within the rules of the International Federation of Arm Wrestling.”
The video was also posted on Instagram by Jason and his brother Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, with the humorous remark, “If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying 😂…” I’m grateful that @nicole406heavirland allowed him to win.”
Jason and Kylie’s visit was captured on camera on Sunday by the USA Rugby Instagram account, which posted a cute picture of the two posing with rugby players Heavirland, Kasey McCravey, Kate Zackary, Meya Bizer, and Kristen Thomas.
In a video that the popular player posted on TikTok, Jason also had a conversation with Ilona Maher, who designated him as the unofficial mascot of Team USA women’s rugby.
In the video, Flavor Flav, 27, was heard saying Jason, “Women’s water polo has Flavor Flav as their superfan.” She went on to say, “You are a girl dad,” which is another reason he should become a superfan.
“What benefits does being our superfan provide you? No, Ilona chuckled as Jason rubbed his facial hair.
“There’s no reward, no money, no benefits, I don’t think I can get you free stuff,” Ilona continued.
Jason pushed, saying, “I am officially a fan of women’s rugby, Olympics. You’re a great salesman.”
Jason and Kylie celebrated Kylie’s field hockey history—she played in college at Cabrini University—by attending the Team USA women’s field hockey game on Saturday, July 27, which marked the start of the Paris Games opening weekend in style.
