Selena Gomez replies to criticism by telling detractors to “f*** off”

Selena Gomez revealed she is unable to have children of her own because of “medical issues,” to which her detractors were told to “f*** off.”

The 32-year-old actress from Only Murders in the Building, who recently revealed a heartfelt moment with her goddaughter following her 2024 Emmy loss, was seen responding to critics in a now-viral video on X while attending a Women in Film event.

In the video, the singer defended herself against criticism that she was “vulnerable” when it came to talking about her health and requesting assistance.

At a table beside her younger sister Gracie, Gomez said, “I really think that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help and you want help.”

That is not deplorable. Yes, I did disclose that I am unable to conceive. Yes, I did disclose that I suffer from bipolar disorder. F*** off.

The other guests in the room gave Selena applause and cheers as she finished speaking.

“To be an advocate for women and that’s why I share, that’s why I like to be honest, because everybody is going through something,” the celebrity went on to say.

‘I don’t have it all put together,’ Gomez said bluntly. You know, I’m not a whatever. That’s all I can be; I’m me.

The former Disney Channel actress moved to her sister and put a hand on her shoulder, saying, “So, do not ever let anyone tell you that you are not a good person.”

‘So, screw anyone who tells you you’re a victim,’ Selena said near the end of the video. To me, you are a survivor. Her comment was made soon after the celebrity was interviewed for Vanity Fair’s October issue earlier in the month.

In an interview with the publication, Gomez disclosed that she had health problems that keep her from becoming a mother.

I regret not having mentioned it before, but I am unable to bear my own children. Numerous health problems I have could endanger both my life and the lives of the unborn child. I had to grieve for a long time about that.
Selena did, however, say that she still hopes to have a family of her own. It’s not always how I had imagined it. I assumed that everything would unfold in the same manner for everyone.

“With that, I’m in a much better place.” The fact that there are amazing people ready to adopt or surrogate is a blessing in my opinion, as these are two extremely exciting opportunities for me.

“It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms,” the actress continued.

Count me among those people. Although that path will look a little different, I’m excited to see what it entails.

Selena said that the child would always be her own, regardless of whether she becomes a mother through adoption or surrogacy.

“In the end, it doesn’t really matter to me.” I’ll own it. The singer for the Wolves said Vanity Fair, “It’ll be my baby.”

Gomez has already stated that she hopes to have children in the future. She also disclosed in May of this year that, prior to her relationship with Benny Blanco, she intended to adopt a kid of her own when she was 35.

The celebrity said, “I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,” when attending the Time 100 Most Influential Companies event.

Many individuals fear being alone, and for about two years, I think I tormented myself mentally over being alone before coming to terms with it.

The performer said, “I then came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.”

Since their romance was officially announced in December of last year, Gomez and Blanco have posted glimpses of their love on social media.

Having kids is the record producer’s “next goal,” he had said on The Howard Stern Show in May.

When Stern once mentioned that he thought they will get married, Blanco answered, “You and me both…I need to get organized!

Moreover, Stern enquired, “When will you propose?” It’s time for you to announce the news. When will you pop the question to your well-known girlfriend Selena?

Blanco responded, saying, “When I look at her…I can never imagine a universe in which things could be better than they are.

He went on to gushe, saying, “People always said this to me: Selena is the coolest, nicest, sweetest…,” and that “she truly is my best friend.”

The lyricist mentioned desiring a family in the future in other parts of the interview. That’s similar to what my next box goal is. I have a large number of nieces and Godchildren. It’s my thing—I adore spending time with children!

In addition to her latest Vanity Fair interview, Selena has been transparent about her diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

When she spoke about her tale in public back in May, she said she felt “freedom” on Hoda Kotb’s Making Space show.

“I think there’s a lot of noise in life, and it can get distracting.” I no longer feel afraid of titles since I own my own tale. I related my own tale. I also felt liberated from it.

Gomez has been really busy lately. This past weekend, she attended the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, and she looked stunning.

She looked stunning in a black velvet gown that hugged her body and had a silver glittering accent around the top.

The dark hair of the celebrity cascaded past her shoulders with ease, parting in the middle.

Blanco was spotted at the star-studded event as well, and the two took a moment to pose for pictures while he gave Selena support on the big night.

Her nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series fell short, as Jean Smart’s performance in Hacks won the prize.
