Rita Ora throws a wild party in Ibiza to honor her husband Taika Waititi’s 49th birthday, complete with famous attendees
At a star-studded event in Ibiza on Thursday, Taika Waititi celebrated his 49th birthday alongside his happy wife Rita Ora and a number of other A-Listers.
The pop singer Rita, 33, and the Hollywood director got married in 2022. To celebrate, the famous couple had an extravagant reception in an upscale home on the Spanish island.
Rita wore a ruffled lilac dress and accessorised with an array of theatrical jewellery, while Taika wore a loose-fitting white shirt and black slacks.Before beginning the ceremony, the Anywhere hitmaker sang Taika a happy birthday. The couple took a romantic picture together.
He was given a cake with the All Blacks, his home rugby union side from New Zealand, as the motif.
Throughout the evening, the Masked Singer judge and her spouse exhibited positive energy, cheering and applauding whenever the cake was displayed.
Taika, who is a devoted rugby enthusiast, has been seen supporting his wife at several matches in the past. He also starred in the documentary Tour De Rugby, which was released in 2023.
Even when the rugby ball arrived to him blazing on top of the celebratory cake, the Marvel filmmaker planted a kiss on it. Many of their fellow famous faces attended the elegant event, and they all seemed excited to be commemorating the almost historic occasion.
Rita was once seen sultrying up with 27-year-old Havana hitmaker Camila Cabello as the pop princesses took a pose on the dance floor.Camila showed off her pert bottom in a cream dress and allowed her blonde locks flow freely as she raised one arm up in the air and poked her tongue out.
Model Lori Harvey, former TOWIE star Vas J Morgan, and actress Salma Hayek from Marvel were among the other celebrities that attended.
Rita stood with 35-year-old Vas, showcasing her whole evening ensemble, including her beautiful blonde hair and purple floor-length dress.
As the event came to an end, Rita was spotted pouting with singer Justine Skye, fashion designer Amina Muaddi, and other people in a less informal photo.
The Ask & You Shall Receive singer expressed her gratitude to the director last year in an emotional Instagram post dedicated to her one-year husband, saying he had taught her “what love really is.”
“Happy birthday to the funniest smartest man I have ever met in my life,” she added. In times when I don’t think I can hold myself together, you do. I appreciate you demonstrating to me what true love is. The couple did not make their wedding public until last year, having first kept it under wraps.
Rita chose to have a small ceremony with just eight guests in attendance, and she told ES Magazine that her friends were worried they missed her big day. She declared: “I’ve always given everything I’m a part of to the public, and I’ve been in the public eye for a while.” It was pleasant to have something that was temporarily under wraps.
Several of my buddies said, “Oh my God, we missed it.” I simply assured them that we will work things out. It was cool, even though my life isn’t cool.
