Rita Ora talks about her marriage to actor and director Taika Waititi and says she has “stopped trying to impress people”
Rita Ora disclosed that she had “stopped trying to impress people” after marrying Taika Waititi, an actor and filmmaker from New Zealand.
The 33-year-old How We Do hitmaker and the 48-year-old JoJo Rabbit writer were married in a private ceremony in 2022, but they didn’t announce their union until the following year.
Rita appeared on the front cover of Marie Claire Spain’s August issue, sporting a variety of gorgeous ensembles from her “Festival” Primark line, including as a bold black corset and a shimmering gold dress.
In an interview for the article, she opened up about the most important thing she has learnt since being married.
Rita declared, “I’ve given up trying to impress people. It makes no difference, so I wish I had done that before I got married.”
“You simply have to live your life for yourself,” I once said. “You know, back in my twenties, I always assumed everyone did that.” And I was trying my hardest to win everyone over. And it is incredibly tiresome.
“I think you need to be happy with yourself in life, but you have to make the change,” Rita continued.
“You have to decide for yourself, not for other people, if something bothers you.”
Rita also discussed her childhood in Notting Hill, London, during the conversation. Her parents were Albanian, and she was born in Yugoslavia, which is now Kosovo.
“My class was full of immigrants, but I was a girl from another country and I grew up in an area mixed with many cultures and ethnicities,” she remarked.
And I believe that’s the reason I adore London. It’s a collection of the most unique, hippest folks from all over the world. The fact that I never felt “different” made me incredibly fortunate.
Rita looked amazing for the cover photo, wearing a chic midi-skirt covered in sequins and featuring hip-high leg splits secured with metal hooks.
Rita made a sensual impression in a different outfit, going braless beneath a midi dress made of gold translucent mesh.
Rita wore a knit maxi dress with a racer collar and a gold longline cardigan for the cover photo, keeping her look casual.
In further pictures, Rita wore a stylish white and crochet ensemble with a leather jacket, as well as double denim in wide-leg jeans and a matching bow-collar shirt.
It happens after Rita flaunted her amazing form while having a great time in Italy.

She was seen playfully pouting in a bathroom mirror in one photo, and in another, she was seen sticking her head out of a car window with a carefree and joyful expression.
Rita made a very slender appearance in a leather hot pants and crop top for her latest album campaign. She accessorized the look with tall platforms and bizarre eye makeup for the Ask & You Shall Receive music video.
After that, the stunning woman left nothing to the imagination by hanging out of a washing machine and slipping into a bra and thong in their underwear.
Rita’s most recent release, Ask & You Shall Receive, comes after the success of her top ten 2023 album You & I.
Rita commented, “The song is full of upbeat, summery vibes and is about seizing the moment romantically, and diving straight into that special someone,” when discussing the most recent release.
“I have so many incredible memories from when we were on the road together for the Phoenix tour, and it feels like such a full circle moment that Raye co-wrote it.”
The Hollywood filmmaker was not supposed to appear until the day of filming, but the singer even got her husband Taika Waititi to contribute to the vulgar video.
