One year after their breakup, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes were spotted together
Are Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello experiencing luck number three?
After being sighted together at Sunday’s Copa América soccer match between Argentina and Colombia, the ex-couple has fueled rumors of a reconciliation.
According to fan footage uploaded on X, Cabello, 27, and Mendes, 25, watched the game at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, sitting next to each other and chatting.
The stars briefly reignited their romance before splitting up for good in June 2023. First dating for two years, from July 2019 to November 2021, the singers were together.
The lifelong friends worked together on the song “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 2017 and then came back together on the song “Señorita” in 2019, which coincided with romance rumors.
In an October 2019 interview with Elle magazine, Cabello affirmed their relationship. The singer of “I Luv It” claimed that she first kept the connection quiet in order to safeguard it.

“I’m not sure; anybody can say anything they want to. They can conjecture, but we’re going to live our own lives, enjoy them, and fall in love with each other in secret, Cabello declared.
That’s the life I want to lead. I never want to give someone the impression that they are part of the process. I want it to be mine and [his], as I mentioned. That explains why I’m keeping quiet about it.
But in a joint statement released on Instagram Stories, the pair revealed that their romance was ending just two years later.
The duo posted in November 2019: “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever.” “We were best friends when we first started dating, and we still will be.
We sincerely appreciate your support both now and in the future. Shawn and Camila.
After a brief reunion in 2018, the couple announced their separation to Us Weekly in June 2023, according to a source at the time.

In June of last year, a source told Us that Mendes was “very upset” that their relationship didn’t work out and that “Camila was the one who ultimately decided to end things.” “After spending so much time together, a lot of their old issues started to resurface.”
Fortunately, I was in a stage of life where I realized that faster. “This doesn’t seem right, and we really don’t need to push so hard to make it work,” Cabello said. It took us both less time to come to that realization.” Everything is well.
I don’t feel well about this. Come to be friends with me. I adore you, everything is well, let’s move on, and you go do what you do. turn into the person you’re turning into, and I will support you.”
