Olivia Flowers Hints That Leaving ‘Southern Charm’ Wasn’t Her Choice

In response to speculation that she wouldn’t be returning for season 10 of Southern Charm, Olivia Flowers finally spoke out.

“This new season is not for me. Therefore, I have a lot more free time,” Flowers, 32, remarked in a podcast episode titled “Scheananigans with Scheana Shay,” which was made available on Friday, July 12. “I was very disappointed.”

Flowers made a suggestion that she did not choose to leave the show.

“I’m picking a different route and I have this new relationship,” she declared. But the production firm called me a few weeks prior to the shoot. Simply put, it was a question along the lines of, “You don’t really seem to be in Charleston that much.”

Flowers said that during the show’s filming hiatus, there were hints made by the production that she might go “a different path.”

“I didn’t think it was picking a different path,” I said. I’m just kind of going about my life,” Flowers said. To be clear, I wanted to be nearer to my parents because they had recently moved to Texas. The relationship situation appeared out of the blue. Bravo was contacted by Us Weekly for a statement.

During Southern Charm season 9, which ended earlier this year, Flowers had a difficult time. Fans not only witnessed her grieve for her elder brother Conner Flowers, but the reality star unintentionally became involved in a romantic triangle with her best friend Taylor Ann Green and her costar Austen Kroll from Southern Charm.

Flowers ended her relationship with both Kroll and Green on camera after they acknowledged hooking up and lying about it. Shortly after, rumors concerning Flowers’ future on the show began to circulate.

After the shoot was over, Flowers moved on from the drama starring Southern Charm. She met her current boyfriend, Alex Williams, at a wedding, and they clicked right away. This past May, they commemorated their one-year anniversary.

“I’m quite happy that I followed through on that. Regarding her new partner, Flowers remarked on Friday’s podcast, “He was the best thing that came out of that year.”

But what if I had realized that it was hurting my chances or giving the impression that I wasn’t there or that I was taking a different route? Perhaps I would have preferred a little bit more dialogue with it there.

Flowers continued by emphasizing how “really bummed” she was about the way things turned out.

She said, “I wanted to have another season to become more of who I am.” “Last season was really demanding, and I was genuinely just attempting to survive.”

I was excited to have another one so I could display my individuality, be a little more myself, and explore making new connections, among other things.

Filming for Southern Charm has just concluded, and the series will probably return to Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.
