Nicole Scherzinger gives verdict on future of The Pussycat Dolls

As she puts an end to rumors of a conflict with her bandmates, Nicole Scherzinger has indicated that she wouldn’t rule out a future reunion with the Pussycat Dolls.

The famous female group, which consisted of Nicole, Melody Thornton, Kaya Jones, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt at first, formally broke up in 2010, and the Covid-19 outbreak derailed plans for a reunion tour in 2020.

Since then, there have been whispers of a falling out over Nicole’s commanding presence on stage and in the recording studio. But, Nicole, 46, who gushed over her “dolls,” thinks that a reunion tour is still feasible.

Nicole declared, “I love my dolls,” in an exclusive interview with MailOnline at The Championships, just before her performance at Wimbledon’s Hill in New York, which takes place this weekend for the third time in the city. The Pussycat Dolls are amazing. Thus, my motto is “never say never.”

“I know that my life is in a different place right now, but you never know what the future brings.”
Nicole said, “We are still in contact,” in response to a question about her communication with her bandmates. I’m overjoyed for the girls.

“I observe them; I enjoy following them on Instagram, and everyone seems to be doing well and looking great!”

The Pussycat Dolls were a burlesque team that was created in 1995 by Robin Antin, best known for his work as a choreographer.

By appointing Scherzinger as the lead vocalist in 2003, Antin mainstreamed the group on the advice of famed record executive Jimmy Iovine.

The trio put out two albums: Doll Domination (2008) peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 album rankings and PCD (2005), which peaked at number five.

After their final original tour in 2009, the band broke up the following year. They didn’t reunite until 2019 when a reunion tour and possible third album were revealed.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed in 2021 that Robin had sued Nicole, claiming the latter was attempting to sabotage the Pussycat Dolls tour.

Although Nicole had earlier agreed to a smaller portion, he said she was refusing to attend the reunion unless she was given a majority stake in the affair.

Nicole denied rumors that she was attempting to renegotiate their 2019 contract regarding Pussycat Dolls Worldwide, their business, and their upcoming reunion tour.

The singer announced that she is now working on new music after releasing her first solo album in 2011.

‘I’m always working on music, so I can’t wait to be able to reveal some of the new musical projects that I’m working on in the future,’ she stated to MailOnline. However, that moment will arrive. Everything happens in its own time, one item at a time.

Scherzinger has branched out into acting since leaving the trio, appearing in movies including Men in Black 3 and Moana.

The pop princess from Hawaii won the Olivier Award for Best Actress earlier this year for her performance in Sunset Boulevard, playing Norma Desmond, a faded Hollywood diva who won’t admit her fame is waning.

Now, Nicole is on her way to Broadway, describing it as “a dream come true.”

‘It’s crazy, I’ve done the West End twice and I’ve never gone to Broadway,’ she said. I’m making my stage debut as Norma Desmond in the gorgeous Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Sunset Boulevard for the first time ever, under the direction of my talented director Jamie Lloyd.

“I can’t wait.” For me, it will be a realization of my dreams. Since I was a young child, I have always wanted to visit a theater, and now that I’m playing Norma, everything is falling into place. There hasn’t been a better moment, role, or anything else in my whole life. I’m therefore incredibly grateful and happy.

“Now that we’ve achieved such success here in London—where I was honored to receive the Olivier Award—we can take our labor of love and dedication for this incredibly special production to Broadway and share it with everyone.”

Nicole said, “It’s an extremely demanding role,” in reference to the part. Anybody familiar with Sunset Boulevard is aware of Norma’s role.

“I put everything on the line and give my all during every performance, but it’s a blessing because I love what I do.” I always believe that you need to give everything your all. You have to make it matter every time. What are you doing, if not?

Prior to her headline performance at The Hill in New York City on Friday, Nicole, who has been engaged to former rugby union player Thom Evans for just over a year, made a solo appearance at The Wimbledon Championships on Monday.

Wimbledon is returning to Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Empire Fulton Ferry, re-creating its recognizable “Hill,” the well-known gathering spot where spectators watch tennis on a large screen.

New Yorkers will be able to witness live tennis matches and take in expansive vistas of Manhattan while experiencing the classic Wimbledon atmosphere virtually.

Melanie C, the Spice Girl, gave tennis fans a delightful performance this past year by performing solo renditions of the band’s hits.

Nicole attended the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in south London looking effortlessly stylish in an Emilia Wickstead dress, Esha.

Speaking about her solo performance, Nicole remarked, “I’ve been performing and singing since I was born.” Since I was raised in musical theater, I’m an expert on stage and I can handle this.

“And my lovely dancers are coming out to help me, and most importantly, my fans and the audience will be there, so I won’t be alone,”

Nicole said, “We’re gonna be loosening up some buttons and hey, don’t hold your breath,” hinting at her famous tunes. It will be an amazing experience.
