Neal McDonough won’t kiss any co-stars in movies or TV series because his lips are destined for one woman

Neal McDonough, known for his appearances in Band of Brothers and Desperate Housewives, has spoken out about his steadfast dedication to his wife, Ruve Robertson.

Despite the fact that romantic kissing moments are a common part of many actors’ daily lives, 58-year-old McDonough claims he refuses to let his lips touch another woman, even if it means missing out on opportunities and large wages.

In an interview with Closer Weekly, McDonough discussed this unique part of his profession. He talked about:

“I won’t kiss any other woman because these lips are meant for one woman.” Because of his great attachment to his marriage, he has turned down romantic sequences involving kissing other actresses.

McDonough’s commitment to his values has resulted in lost job possibilities.

According to Page Six, the actor recalled a specific event in 2010, when he lost an estimated $1 million job on the set of ABC TV’s Scoundrels because he refused to engage in personal sequences with actress Virginia Madsen. He described the experience as “terrible” and explained:

“After that, I couldn’t get work because everyone believed I was this religious zealot. I am quite religious. I put God and my family first, and myself second. That is what I live by. It was difficult for several years.

“But I was not going to lose this fight. And it worked. “My career has been fantastic.”
