Meryl Streep looked great on the star-studded red carpet at the Peacock Theater for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. She was wearing a pink outfit.
The actress, 75, looked beautiful in a double breasted blazer which she wore with matching wide legged slacks.
The Mamma Mia actress dressed up her jacket by wearing a matching tie-neck blouse underneath and cinched her waist with silver heels. She accessorized with a pair of enormous silver hoops earrings and carried her possessions in a stylish pink purse.
Meryl finished her red carpet look with a pair of red-framed reading spectacles and a stylish half-updo for her long hair.
Meryl was beaming as she posed for pictures in front of the awards ceremony. She is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series for her work in Only Murders In The Building.
The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards are scheduled to celebrate the finest in television on Sunday, September 15, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.
Eugene and Dan Levy, who are emceeing the ceremony for the first time as a father-son team, will make history.
The performers won their own Emmy Awards in 2020 for their work on the popular television show Schitt’s Creek, which they co-created and starred in for six seasons.
“The idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough for two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent,” they wrote in a statement to Vanity Fair last month, confirming their hosting role.
“We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television,” the couple said, adding that they were looking forward to spending the evening with everyone.
With 23 nominations, The Bear broke the record held by 30 Rock in 2009 with 22 nominations in the Comedy category, and Shōgun led the Drama category this year with 25 nominations.
Nominees for some of the night’s biggest honors include Quinta Brunson, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Aniston, Ayo Edebiri, Jeremy Allen White of The Bear, and Selena Gomez.
As Mabel Mora in the film Only Murders in the Building, Gomez receives her first nomination for main actress.
She expressed to her followers after hearing the news that she was “honored and insanely grateful” for the acknowledgment.
For her work hosting Saturday Night Live, Kristen Wiig is nominated for best guest actress in a comedy series and best actress in a comedy series for Palm Royale on Apple TV+.

Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Palm Royale, Reservation Dogs, and What We Do In the Shadows were among the shows nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Matt Bomer for Fellow Travelers, Richard Gadd for Baby Reindeer, Jon Hamm for Fargo, Tom Hollander for Feud, and Andrew Scott for Ripley were the recipients of the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie award.
Jennifer Aniston for The Morning Show, Carrie Coon for The Gilded Age, Maya Erskine for Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Ana Sawai for Shogun, Imelda Stanton for The Crown, and Reese Witherspoon for The Morning Show were the recipients of the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award.

Due to strikes by writers and actors, it was originally scheduled for September 2023, but it was rescheduled until this past January.
Executive producers of the 76th Emmy Awards will be back, including Emmy-nominated Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment and Emmy Award winners Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon.
They are the producers of television’s greatest night for the second year running. At 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, September 15, the 2024 Emmys event will be televised live. The next day, it will also be accessible for streaming on Hulu.
