Kim Kardashian says one of her sons has a rare autoimmune disease that causes pigment loss in certain areas of his skin
One of Kim Kardashian’s and her ex-husband Kanye West’s sons suffers from a rare skin condition.
One of her boys suffers from vitiligo, a skin ailment. The 43-year-old mother of four, who shares North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, with West, 47, disclosed this information.
The Kardashians star revealed on Monday’s She MD podcast episode, “It came from my mom, went to me, and I passed it on in a different form to my son, who has vitiligo very mildly.”
The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases describes vitiligo as a “chronic autoimmune disorder that causes patches of skin to lose pigment or color.

” The institute’s website explains that “this happens when melanocytes, skin cells that make pigment, are attacked and destroyed, causing the skin to turn a milky-white color.”
Kim’s pal and model Winnie Harlow has it. The psoriasis-suffering mogul said that her condition is “under control,” but she did not say which of her children had it.
“Having to learn about it and discovering that it’s hereditary and just learning more and being able to share that [has been a blessing],” she said to presenters Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi and influencer Mary Alice Haney. “I didn’t know anything about it.”

The frank TV personality also said that her children suffer from “a little bit of eczema.”
Of mom Kris Jenner’s six children, Kardashian is the only one who did not inherit psoriasis, having struggled with the ailment since she was around thirty.
“I’ll take any and all measures to treat these painful flare-ups,” she declared. “I’ve tried everything from natural to artificial soap, every topical cream, the holistic approach, special herbs, and a six-week diet of celery juice.”
The billionaire even tried using his sister Kourtney Kardashian’s breast milk to soothe her irritated, spotty skin in a previous episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Kim reported a ‘painful’ eruption on her leg as recently as January of this year.
I will not lie: this hurts. I’m not sure what sets me off. My diet hasn’t changed. I’ve made every attempt! She said at the time, “Psoriasis sucks,” in an Instagram Story.

West and Kim got married in 2014, and in February 2021, Kim filed for divorce. The agreement was signed in November 2022.
Kim disclosed in the most recent episode of her family’s Hulu series The Kardashians that she has finally given their four children harsher boundaries.
“This is the most significant work I do.” She said, “I can’t have anyone run over me,” to her 40-year-old younger sister Khloe Kardashian.
Following her visit with a therapist, the multihyphenate was advised to “cut down on screen time.”
“I’ve just made a lot of small changes to my home.” In a subsequent candid interview, she added, “I’m basically turning into Kourtney and Khloe,” drawing comparisons between herself and her siblings.
