Kevin Hart Makes Shocking Admission
In 2017, Kevin Hart admitted to using MDMA, popularly known as Ecstasy or Molly, before cheating on his wife Eniko Hart in a Las Vegas incident that sparked an FBI extortion investigation.
Page Six reported on Tuesday that the comic-actor, 45, revealed the information in a deposition on August 6 in Los Angeles Superior Court as a part of a lawsuit from his old pal Jonathan ‘JT’ Jackson, 47. The report was based on records reviewed in the case.
Hart said to district attorney investigator Robin Letourneau that he had been pushed to take the substance by an unnamed acquaintance, but that he didn’t actually f*** with drugs like that.
The native of Philadelphia claimed that he finally gave in to his friend’s persuasion and used the medication in some water he had been drinking.
“F*** it,” Hart exclaimed, “and I put it in my drink.” There, I had some water. It was thinned out. I’m okay since it’s in my drink. I have no problem drinking. It’s a good night.The actor from Ride Along claimed that later in the evening, he ran across Montia Sabbag, the lady he had cheated on his then-expecting wife Eniko with.
Hart claimed that after going up to his hotel room in Sin City with Sabbag and a woman named Morgan, Hart and Sabbag fell asleep.
According to court documents, Hart said that after Sabbag woke him up, he “had sex with her the following morning” rather than having sex with her the night they first met.
The actor from Borderlands claimed that Sabbag had attempted to get them “closer” to a covert camera that was recording a sex tape, which he claimed served as the main target of an extortion scheme against him.Hart claimed that the camera had been set up in advance and that he didn’t believe Sabbag got out of bed during their contact.
Jackson was ultimately taken into custody in 2018 and charged with several felonies related to extortion; however, the charges were later dismissed in 2021.
According to Page Six, Jackson filed a lawsuit against Hart in July, claiming the Die Hart star had broken their “carefully negotiated” agreement from July 2021, wherein Hart promised to “issue a powerful public statement proclaiming” Jackson’s innocence of any illicit allegations made in connection with the scandal.
Jackson claimed that Hart had promised to state that he was “not guilty and had nothing to do with it.” Jackson is suing Hart for $12 million in damages and is asking for a trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Jackson said that Hart had also declared that he was “proud to say that all charges against JT Jackson have been dropped” and that he had “lost someone close” to him as a result of “the incident.” Jackson claimed that Hart finally declared that Jackson was “found not guilty” and that “those charges have been dropped against him” in an October 2021 Instagram post.
According to Jackson, Hart’s name had not been “unequivocally” cleared and “his reputation” had not been restored by the statement he released. In the video, Hart explained that the event “put a fork in the road between he and I, and [their] relationship was lost,” acknowledging his brief acquaintance with Jackson.
According to legal documents, Jackson has “sustained enormous difficulties in obtaining acting roles” as a result of Hart’s failure to utilize the language they had agreed upon to explicitly exonerate him in the 2021 footage.
