The ex-fiance of Jeremy Dufrene has admitted that she was totally taken aback by his marriage to Lana Del Rey and only found out about it when she saw photos the next morning.
In a private ceremony by the water in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, the 39-year-old singer-songwriter wed the 49-year-old gator guide on Thursday. The couple had been dating for just one month when they came out to the public and had met five years earlier.
Before they broke up in October 2023, Kelli Welsh, 45, was engaged to Dufrene for 12 years. She told DailyMail.com that she was “shocked” by how soon they said “I do.””I am shocked that after 12 years of engagement, he got married in just one month,” she exclaimed.

When she was 16 and he was 19, Welsh and Dufrene began dating as teens, but they broke up after a year.
He later wed Gina, his first wife, and the two of them have two sons and a daughter.
After keeping in touch over the years, he restarted his relationship with Welsh in 2011, just a year after their marriage ended.
The adolescent sweethearts were engaged in 2012, but they never got married and parted ways in October of last year. Alana, Welsh’s 20-year-old daughter, was also raised by Dufrene as his own. Welsh is now headquartered in Texas, but she still resides with him.
She remarked, “I will say that he really does look happy with her.” And it’s encouraging to see that she does with him. His happiness is genuine; he is genuinely in love with her.
Welsh claimed that she still has “deep sympathy” for Dufrene, saying that she “deserves” to be happy. “He is a giver by nature, so receiving something from someone is something he deserves,” she went on. He’s a really reliable man.

By Thursday, Robert Grant, Del Rey’s father, was escorting her down the aisle at the same bayou where Dufrene conducts his well-liked swamp boat trips.
The Summertime Sadness singer, whose estimated net worth is $30 million, looked beautiful carrying a tiny bouquet while wearing a white bridal gown with a flowing skirt.
Dufrene changed out his trusty trucker hat for a black suit, brown leather shoes, and a white dress shirt.
In March 2019, the couple was married when she gave a performance at the Buku Music + Art Project in Louisiana. She tweeted a picture of him kissing an alligator and said she was on one of his tours.
