Jennifer Lopez Celebrates Ben Affleck’s 52nd Birthday with a Relaxed Solo Night Out
At the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, where Bruno Mars was performing, the celebrity was seen hanging out backstage and in the VIP section. Without Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez is having some fun.
On Thursday, August 15, Affleck’s 52nd birthday, the 55-year-old actor of Atlas went out to celebrate the opening night of the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and watch performances by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.
Lopez showed up to the event wearing a casual outfit consisting of a white tank top and a ponytail. She completed the ensemble with a gold bracelet, a set of enormous gold hoops earrings, and a silver beaded necklace that said “Jennifer.”
She was spotted giggling in pictures as she sat down and spoke with Ashton Kutcher. Before the 38-year-old singer of “Leave the Door Open” entered the stage, she was seen hanging out backstage. During the performance, which featured a live performance of Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s new duet “Die with a Smile,” she was also pictured having a great time in the venue’s VIP area.
The 52-year-old actor from Air was conspicuously absent from the occasion and was not spotted with Lopez when she wandered about the renovated event area and spoke with pals.
Lopez had posted a photo of herself on Instagram earlier in the evening. She was pictured alone, wearing a Dior dress with a sheer wrap design and a black belt fastened around her waist with vertical silver accents. She accessorized the ensemble with silver drop earrings and a tidy ponytail.
This occurs in the wake of rumors that the couple’s marriage is tense. Affleck and Lopez’s marriage “is not in the best place at the moment,” according to sources who first revealed this information in May. They were also leading separate lives.
A source claimed on August 6 that Lopez and Affleck had not seen one another “in weeks.” The source went on, “They’re moving on apart. Jennifer is looking to move to a new place so she can start over.”
On Sunday, August 11, Affleck was in Brentwood, California, for his birthday, and the Marry Me actress did pay him a visit, according to a source. On the same day, she was also seen going to the mall with his 12-year-old son Samuel.
Before classes start, Lopez, who is excited to spend time with Affleck’s children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel (whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner), is excited to see her ex-husband Marc Anthony’s 16-year-old twins Max and Emme.
“Just because she’s not with Ben doesn’t mean that she doesn’t care about his kids,” stated an insider. “The person went on, “She was always concerned about them. Last year, she looked for the ideal home for their blended family for months. Now that she’s back in Los Angeles, she wants to spend time with them before Violet leaves for college and classes resume.”
Affleck is “doing well,” according to an insider who spoke with PEOPLE earlier this month. He “thrives when he’s busy, and he’s been working nonstop.”
“The children are still not in class. He spends a lot of time with them as well,” the insider continued, noting that the summer hasn’t been easy for him either. He is merely attempting to maintain his concentration and live each day to the fullest.”
