The actor had a long-standing relationship with Ignacio Silva’s family, a Spanish billionaire. He first met Alejandra Silva, Silva’s daughter, in 2014. The publicist and philanthropist was a young woman, over 30 years Gere’s junior. But the two of them immediately developed deep affections for one another.
