Halle Berry, 58, is promoting her new thriller in New York City while looking half her age in an off-the-shoulder minidress

On Tuesday, Halle Berry attracted attention while strolling along a sidewalk in New York City.

The 58-year-old actress looked stunning at the Monday night premiere of her newest movie, Never Let Go. She wore an off-the-shoulder minidress with ruching that accentuated her curves.

Her leg-lengthening black and brown animal print heels, featuring a pointed toe and ankle strap, created a striking contrast to the dress’s light hue.The reddish brown hair of the leading lady was cut into a bob with her own natural curls.

She added hoops earrings and a gold and diamond necklace as accessories. In an effort to promote her new movie, the Oscar winner visited the CBS News offices earlier in the day and spoke with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.

She portrays a mother of two small sons in Never Let Go who is certain that an enigmatic evil power has taken over the earth.

Berry described the psychological thriller’s plot as “complex.” “It’s about fear, love, and generational trauma,” she clarified.

In the narrative, Anthony B. Jenkins, 12, and Percy Daggs IV, 4, respectively, portray Berry’s character as the mother of two young boys who begin to wonder if their mother is mentally well.

“I adored this mother because she is a darker version of herself and a different kind of mother,” she said.

Despite her best efforts, the mother is coping with her own trauma that was passed down to her. The dysfunction coexists with the love, though, and she is dealing with it all.

The actress also discussed menopause, which she called her “favorite new topic.”

“I discovered that I was going through menopause in the most horrifying way,” she said, clarifying that she was mistakenly diagnosed with herpes when it was actually what’s commonly called “the change.”

“It piqued my interest because, even with my limited knowledge, millions of other women lack it,” she said.

I made the decision to speak up for myself because I knew that if I did, I would also help other people, and things would just keep getting better.

I came to the realization that women alone can de-stigmatize this by having conversations about it, enabling others to do the same, and discussing it with our husbands, partners, sons, and coworkers. We must grant them license to discuss it as well.

We have to let go of the idea that we must always be thirty as we get older. We are becoming monsters in our quest to remain thirty forever. We have to understand that we are more than the shell we live in,’ she uttered.

Many people have the mentality that “when men age, they become wise, they become silver foxes, we just get old.”

But as women, we need to change that. She stated, “We have to make the decision to age gracefully and organically and give up trying to minimize who we are and stay young forever.” “It’s simply not achievable.”

Cinemas will open Never Let Go on Friday, September 20.
