Following the baby bombshell and infidelity scandal, Dave Grohl is trying to “earn back the trust of his family,” therefore Foo Fighters are “set to take a hiatus”
According to reports, Dave Grohl is trying to “earn back the trust of his family” in the wake of his affair scandal, which has caused Foo Fighters to “take a hiatus.”
The 55-year-old musician stunned fans earlier this month when he admitted to having an affair with Jordyn Blum, his wife of 21 years, and having a baby girl with an unidentified woman.

The band postponed their scheduled performance at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in response to the news. According to rumors, they are now planning to take a hiatus as they deal with the fallout from “a turbulent few years.”
“The band needs time to be with their families and focus on regrouping,” a source told The Sun.
“It’s been a turbulent few years, with the death of Dave’s mother, the birth of his new child, and the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins,” they continued.
“He desires to be at his house and concentrate on regaining his family’s trust.” For now, none of them are the best when they are traveling. They seem to agree that taking a break is best for them all.

A representative for Foo Fighters has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
The band hastily withdrew on Thursday from their scheduled performance at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, which was to be their first public appearance since the scandal emerged this past weekend.

In a social media announcement on September 10, Dave revealed the arrival of a girl and promised to work toward earning back his wife’s and his three children’ confidence.
I recently became the father of a newborn girl who was not born into my marriage. “I intend to be a caring and encouraging parent to her,” Grohl declared on Tuesday to his 1.4 million Instagram followers.

“I am trying everything to win back my wife’s and my kids’ trust and forgiveness because I love them.”
He ended the brief statement by saying, “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Blum and Grohl got married in 2003 after meeting in 2001. Three girls, Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, live with their parents.
Both of his older daughters deleted their social media accounts after he revealed that he had fathered a child outside of marriage.

His disclosure of marital infidelity came after he had previously admitted to cheating on his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, in a 2007 interview with The Guardian. After getting married in 1994, the couple separated in 1996, and the following year, they got divorced.
“[My wife] Jordyn and [daughter] Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing,” Grohl remarked in the same Guardian interview.
He claimed that his family “changed everything that I do” in a 2012 interview with TIME.
“It’s changed everything that I do,” he continued. Having children makes you view the world in a different way. You may have a slightly greater capacity for compassion and a deeper sense of love. That would inevitably find its way into your compositions.
Although not much is known about Blum, People stated that when she was 12 years old, a supermarket found her and she went on to feature on the cover of Teen.
When she allegedly met the frontman, she was employed by MTV as a producer. However, Grohl stopped contacting Blum after a few dates because he wasn’t ready for a committed relationship, as he admitted to Elle in 2007.
