During her GMA performance, Carrie Underwood displays her legs in short shorts
During the Summer Concert Series on Good Morning America in New York City on Friday morning, Carrie Underwood left quite an impression.
As she sang some of her biggest hits, the country music artist flaunted her toned legs in short shorts, a colorful flowery print jacket, and denim steel-toed boots.
Along with My Last Name, Before He Cheats, and Out of That Truck, the 41-year-old celebrity sung.
The Oklahoman artist’s placement behind the American Idol judges’ table was confirmed the day before.
She is taking over for Katy Perry, who left the event in May.
Underwood, who became well-known after winning the singing competition in 2005, will return to the show 20 years later to serve as a judge for the forthcoming season, which is scheduled to debut in the spring of 2025.
Underwood was questioned about her style of judging—hard, gentle, or somewhere in between—during a conversation that took place in between performances on the Summer Concert Series.
“I have an issue,” she replied. “I’m not lying.” I think I’ll be quite direct, but I also think I’ll be really helpful and motivating.
Underwood appeared to agree with GMA’s Sam Champion when he said, “Oh gosh no,” when he was asked if he could imagine her being too harsh on participants. Ask my children.
She’s the first former American Idol judge to hold the position.
A timetable for her Idol tour was also released on Thursday, the same day that she made her first appearance alongside her co-stars.
‘I’m happy of all that I was able to do on the show, and I’m so proud of everything that I’ve accomplished since,’ Underwood said in an emotional video introducing her new hosting role.
During her audition, the country singer, who holds the record for most wins in the history of the CMT Music Awards with 25, caused a stir by performing Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”
She was soon favored by the audience.
In addition, Underwood has eight Grammy Awards to her name, and her albums and singles routinely reach the top of the charts.
For the franchise’s 23rd season, she will be joining judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, who have each served as a judge for seven seasons.
Twenty years have passed since Carrie captured America’s hearts on American Idol and began her illustrious career that has earned multiple Grammy Awards.
“She brings a remarkably unique perspective to one of the most popular shows on television as a former Idol and dynamic musical force,” stated Craig Erwich, president of Disney Television Group, in an ABC announcement.
This marks a turning point for both the program and the home viewers who have been watching for more than 20 years. Carrie, welcome back home.
Ryan Seacrest, the show’s longtime host who has been there since the beginning, will also make a comeback. This autumn, Seacrest will also replace Pat Sajak as the host of “Wheel of Fortune.”
The nationwide hunt for talent known as “Idol Across America” will begin on August 12 and run through September for the new season’s auditions. The season will debut in the spring and be accessible to stream on Hulu and ABC.
Fox launched “American Idol” in 2002, and the show was successful until it was terminated in 2016. Following a two-year hiatus, ABC brought the show back to life, and it has since aired for seven seasons.
