Bianca Censori and Kanye West applauded during a pro-Donald Trump protest in Beverly Hills
On Saturday in Beverly Hills, California, protesters applauded former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, and Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori were among them.
In the upscale neighborhood, West, 47, and Censori, 29, were seen driving around in a Tesla Cybertruck. Supporters of the 45th president, a Republican running for president this fall against Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumed Democratic nominee, flanked them.
When Trump’s followers realized Kanye was driving, they started shouting his name while waving American flags and carrying pro-Trump banners, according to TMZ on Sunday.
Several protestors attempted to record the confrontation with West, who has been involved in several high-profile incidents with Trump in the last eight years.
Censori did not seem particularly excited by the surge of interest; instead, she turned to face her partner before they took off.A user with the handle @ali.aam.06 uploaded a video of the quick exchange to TikTok.
With the comment, “WE SAW KANYE AT THE TRUMP RALLY IN BEVERLY HILLS WHAT THE F****,” the social media user accompanied the video.The hashtags #ye, #kanyewest, and #makeamericagreatagain were added by the TikTok user.
Although West hasn’t discussed the current election cycle in public, she has previously been a vocal backer of Trump. Following Trump’s victory over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in November 2016, West informed attendees at a concert at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, that he hadn’t voted but that he would have supported Trump if he had.
West and Trump had a meeting in Trump Tower in New York City the following month. In the Oval Office on October 11, 2018, Trump hosted West and the late NFL icon Jim Brown, who passed away in May of 2023, during his presidency.
‘Kanye it is nice to be with you and these are two friends of mine and Kanye has been a friend of mine for a long time,’ Trump said to West during the televised encounter. ‘It was something about when I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman – you made a Superman – that’s my favorite superhero and made a Superman cape for me also as a guy that looks up to you,’ stated West, who was wearing one of Trump’s red Make America Great Again caps during the meeting.
During the conversation, West shared his opinions with Trump over matters related to racial relations and police enforcement, as reported by the AP. “You bring up police killings, which is a topic we should definitely talk about,” West stated. And we need to elevate the status of police personnel and show that they are people just like the rest of us.
“This whole hate building is a major factor contributing to racial tension,” he said. As Black people, it is also our job to own up to our actions. We kill each other more frequently than police officers, but it doesn’t mean that the police are exempt from criticism because of their position of authority.
With regard to changes to the problem, including the use of stop-and-frisk procedures, Trump declared himself “open to everything.” ‘So they have to do something, and I am entirely open, Kanye, if we can do it in a different way, then so be it,’ stated Trump. “We can all agree that they need to take action.”
After West invited white nationalist Nick Fuentes, who has previously disputed the Holocaust, to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort for a dinner in November 2022, their friendship seemed to deteriorate. Following West’s antisemitic rants that made headlines in the weeks leading up to the Mar-a-Lago meeting, Trump turned to Truth Social to call West “seriously troubled.”
In order to provide him with much-needed “advice,” Trump claimed, “I help a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black, Ye, who has been decimated in his business and virtually everything else, and who has always been good to me,” by granting his request for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, alone.
“He shows up with three people, two of whom I didn’t know, and the other is a political person who I haven’t seen in years,” Trump went on. I warned him it would be a complete waste of time and effort to run for office. Fake News blew up!
