At the Jonas Brothers concert, Joe Jonas omits a line by Sophie Turner
Joe Jonas refrained from singing a line that alluded to his divorcée, Sophie Turner.
Joe, 34, sang the lyrics of their 2019 song “Cool” on Saturday, July 6 at the Festival d’été de Québec with his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas.
But Joe refrained from mentioning the HBO series when he sang, “Oh, I feel like Post Malone when I get home / Sittin’ there, winnin’ like it’s Game of Thrones,” according to Page Six.
The 28-year-old Turner began her Game of Thrones career in 2011 as Sansa Stark. Before the show’s cancellation in 2019, she portrayed the role for all eight seasons.
Joe has refrained from singing the line before. This is not the first time. At one April show, Joe raised the microphone over his head and let the fans sing instead of him singing Game of Thrones songs.
Less than a year after Us Weekly revealed that the “Cake by the Ocean” singer had filed for divorce, claiming their union was “irretrievably broken,” Joe decided to leave out the line concerning Turner.
The next day, the couple declared their intention to end their marriage.
“We have mutually decided to end our marriage amicably after four wonderful years of marriage,” they said in a statement released jointly on Instagram in September 2023.
“Although there are a lot of conjectural explanations for this, we genuinely hope that everyone will respect our wishes for privacy for our children and ourselves. This is a united decision.”
Later, Turner sued Joe, alleging that while she was in the United Kingdom, their daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 23 months, had been “wrongfully detained” in New York City. In October 2023, the two parties came to a temporary custody arrangement after Joe refuted the accusations at the time.
In January, the lawsuit was dropped, according to British Vogue.
Since then, Joe has asked to keep up the mediation with Turner. The ex-couple will “continue to pursue an amicable resolution of all issues,” according to court documents that Us was able to access in May.
Joe and Stormi Bree have been connected since their breakup. However, in May, an exclusive insider revealed to Us that their romance had “cooled off.”
The insider revealed, “Joe’s romantic life has to take a back seat for now because of his very busy schedule between his kids and his career.
” Joe is currently putting “his children and his passion for his music” first. “He’ll make time for the right person in his life if they come along.”
Turner has moved on from her relationship with Peregrine “Perry” Pearson. The pair was initially observed together in November of 2023.
“Dating is fun for me. Turner told British Vogue in May that it’s a lot of fun. “Well, getting married so early is kind of weird. It seems like you never quite get the hang of dating. I’m just very fresh to it all.
